Ppt presentation on computer technology

If you've got a moment, please tell us what we did right so we can do more of it.Hello everyone. I am going to try my best to explain, because the connection I have with her is very hard to explain. Even though I was strong fascinated by both, the one that I felt the most drawn to was Greek Mythology. Growing up, there was a lot of Greek Mythology influences. Either in my history classes I took, the art classes I took and even some of the school project assignments I had to do.

I remember, that I was doing research one day and decided to look up the Greek Gods. I started reading about what each of them did, and the one that I was drawn to, basically immediately was you guessed it - Athena. As I read what She was the Goddess of, I found myself happy. One of the reasons I loved Her was due to the fact that She loved arts and crafts which is something that I really enjoy doing.

I also loved the things that She stood for because it mirrored many things that I followed courage, inspiration, knowledge, crafts, law and justice. So at first, part of the reason I fell in love with Her was because I felt that we were similar. I also at one point in my life, wrote a short fictional story about how She was my mother.

And over the past couple of years, Athena has shown me a lot of signs that She is watching over me, is with me and has been with me longer than I had known. One of the first signs She gave me to know that She was watching me was the fact that since I was about 5 or 6 years old, owls have been one of my favorite animals.

Ever since I was little, owls have become a huge part of my life.

Working With the Gods and Goddesses

I have owl jewelry, bed sheets, stuffed animals, mugs, calendars. At one point I had an owl phone case. But the owl symbol has certainly been heavy these past couple of years since looking into Wicca.

Whenever I did an art project, I always felt calm. It also felt like someone was doing the project with me. When I was a freshmen in university, my original major was to be a history teacher. I have also always found the law fascinating as well.

In which I changed my major to Criminology and had the best years in university because I changed it. I just talk to Her mainly. Either in my head or out loud. I thank Her for watching over me, and I ask for her protection during my sleep. Athena is very motherly towards me. She always wants to see me succeed and to be happy. But sometimes, she can be very persistent. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for writing this post.

The way you described how you came to Athena mirrored how I came to Demeter and Poseidon. Just like you saw owls everywhere, I saw horses everywhere. The Theoi seem to operate similarly. And yes, it does seem to happen that way very often with the deities.

That was quite a huge relief as others in my past have told me I'm imagining things. I feel you the same about Athena, she came into my dreams and talk to me I felt blessed from her for visiting me and I feel what your saying about Athena and I really like how i found some with the same interest about Athena and being drawn to Greek mythology :hibiscus: .

I love hearing that! I definitely agree.Thank you for our post I enjoyed it very much. However I have some questions. You're very welcome! Typically, you can tell the difference two ways. The first is the easiest: a curious deity will go away after a while, whereas a patron will stay with you for a very long time. The second method is to try and see if a new deity has begun to influence your life, or has been doing so for some time; that's sometimes an indicator of having that deity as a patron as well.

You can't really make a deity come out of the background - sadly, they are not susceptible to being lured out with cookies, either. Yes and no. Some patrons are with you for your entire life. Others, however, are only with you for a particular stage in your life, after which they pass the proverbial torch over to someone else. Sometimes you can have a lifetime patron who phases in and out of your life depending on what you need and what the deity in question is prepared to do. Hermes, for example, tends to do a "radio silence" routine when I'm under a great deal of stress or emotional distress: it's not in his job description to deal with emotional upheavals, after all.

I hv recently become more clarevoint allways had it cant controll it i look 4 sines recently got big 1 from 3 oldest pagan gods 1 goddess hecete odin etc still reserching auburn ca i believ alot older than thought and numrous types of entities druids forest gaurdians i mean alot reading 4 warstarted t weeks ago2 days ago i took pics with ny phn and thts what i got plus some of thr worshipers in full garb pagan celtic druid native indian saxon spiritual pressure a little overwhelming rt now old magic coming bk like times of merlin thy hv all gatherd hear ive gotton flooded with info what does this mean.

I've had several experiences within the last week where I heard someone I know different people each time calling my name when those people weren't even where I was. I'd had a dream before those times right after I became a dedicant where a man named Morpheus introduced himself to me and told me everything was about to change so I needed to make it known I worship the gods.

Should I look more into this because if it really is the god and not just my mind playing a trick on me, I'd like to know what he has to say. I'm so sorry for my inexcusably late reply!

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend giving things a go. If it's a trick, you'll just feel silly after. If not, however, you could potentially be opening the door to a new world of experiences. The decision is ultimately up to you, however; I don't claim to know everything and I certainly don't claim to be an expert in this area. Can I get some advice concerning patron deities?

I apologize in advance if I'm unwelcome or whatever, but I'd like some clarity on this situation. Ever since I was a very small child, I was drawn to Anansi, and he'd always be in the back of my mind. However, I grew up catholic. But And I'm slightly afraid of spiders, so the irony is not lost on me lol it's always been Anansi, Anansi, Anansi.

signs athena is calling you

Recently, my mother passed away after a long fight with cancer, and since then spiders have been showing up in my house all over. It's like 38 degrees out and snowy and there are spiders everywhere. I feel like its a sign of some kind. Of course you're welcome! I can't imagine why you wouldn't be!

From the sounds of it, you do indeed have ties to Anansi. I'm not sure if the appearance of so many spiders in your home is related to this, or simply due to your house being more hospitable than the outdoors, but the timing certainly warrants some attention.

It's not for me to definitively say yes or no when it comes to signs and one's relationship to one's own patron, but my best advice would be for you to trust your intuition. If your gut tells you it's a sign, it might very well be. I've mentioned in one of my posts that I tend to have a rule of three - if something happens more than three times, I give it my attention, but before that I'm likely to dismiss it as coincidence or random happenstance.

Obviously, that's not a hard and fast rule for everyone - it's just what works for me, really. As for your phobia, don't worry - I'm terrified of spiders, and yet they always crop up in my dreams when I'm suffering from writer's block. Anansi is quite the storyteller, after all. There are literally thousands of different deities out there in the Universe, and which ones you choose to honor will often depend significantly upon what pantheon your spiritual path follows.

However, many modern Pagans and Wiccans describe themselves as eclectic, which means they may honor a god of one tradition beside a goddess of another. In some cases, we may choose to ask a deity for assistance in a magical working or in problem solving. Regardless, at some point, you're going to have to sit and sort them all out. If you don't have a specific, written tradition, then how do you know which gods to call upon? A good way to look at it is to figure out which deity of your pantheon would be interested in your purpose.

In other words, what gods might take the time to look into your situation? This is where the concept of appropriate worship comes in handy -- if you can't take the time to get to know the deities of your path, then you probably shouldn't be asking them for favors. So first, figure out your goal. Are you doing a working regarding home and domesticity? Then don't call upon some masculine power deity. What if you're celebrating the end of the harvest season, and the dying of the earth?

Then you shouldn't be offering milk and flowers to a spring goddess. Consider your purpose carefully, before you make offerings or prayers to a particular god or goddess. Although this is certainly not a comprehensive list of all the gods and their domains, it may help you a bit to get an idea of who is out there, and what sorts of things they may be able to help you with:.

Each Zodiac Sign Has A God or Goddess That Goes With It & Here's Yours

For assistance relating to skills, crafts, or handiwork, call upon the Celtic smith god, Lughwho wasn't just a talented blacksmith; Lugh is known as a god of many skills. Many other pantheons have forge and smithing gods as well, including the Greek Hephaestus, Roman Vulcan, and Slavic Svarog. Not all craftsmanship involves an anvil though; goddesses like Brighid, Hestia, and Vesta are associated with domestic creativity.

When it comes to matters of discord and upsetting the balance of things, some people choose to to check in with Lokithe Norse prankster god. However, it's generally recommended that you don't do this unless you're a devotee of Loki in the first place - you may end up getting more than you bargained for.

If you're doing a working related to destruction, the Celtic war goddess the Morrighan may assist you, but don't trifle with her lightly. A safer bet might be working with Demeter, the Dark Mother of the harvest season. Shiva is known as a destroyer in Hindu spirituality, as is Kali. The Egyptian Sekhmet, in her role as a warrior goddessis also associated with destruction.

When you celebrate the fall harvest, you may want to take time to honor Hernethe god of the wild hunt, or Osiriswho is often connected with grain and the harvest. Demeter and her daughter, Persephone, are typically connected with the waning part of the year.

Pomona is associated with fruit orchards and the bounty of trees in fall.Athena [b] or Athene[c] often given the epithet Pallas[d] is an ancient Greek goddess associated with wisdom, handicraft, and warfare [3] who was later syncretized with the Roman goddess Minerva.

Her major symbols include owlsolive treessnakesand the Gorgoneion. From her origin as an Aegean palace goddessAthena was closely associated with the city. She was known as Polias and Poliouchos both derived from polismeaning "city-state"and her temples were usually located atop the fortified acropolis in the central part of the city.

The Parthenon on the Athenian Acropolis is dedicated to her, along with numerous other temples and monuments. As the patron of craft and weaving, Athena was known as Ergane.

She's also a warrior goddessand was believed to lead soldiers into battle as Athena Promachos. Her main festival in Athens was the Panathenaiawhich was celebrated during the month of Hekatombaion in midsummer and was the most important festival on the Athenian calendar. In Greek mythologyAthena was believed to have been born from the head of her father Zeus. In the founding myth of Athens, Athena bested Poseidon in a competition over patronage of the city by creating the first olive tree.

She's known as Athena Parthenos "Athena the Virgin," but in one archaic Attic myth, the god Hephaestus tried and failed to rape her, resulting in Gaia giving birth to Erichthoniusan important Athenian founding hero.

How Do I Know if a Deity Is Calling Me?

Athena was the patron goddess of heroic endeavor; she was believed to have aided the heroes PerseusHeraclesBellerophonand Jason. Along with Aphrodite and HeraAthena was one of the three goddesses whose feud resulted in the beginning of the Trojan War. She plays an active role in the Iliadin which she assists the Achaeans and, in the Odysseyshe is the divine counselor to Odysseus.

In the later writings of the Roman poet OvidAthena was said to have competed against the mortal Arachne in a weaving competition, afterwards transforming Arachne into the first spider; Ovid also describes how she transformed Medusa into a Gorgon after witnessing her being raped by Poseidon in her temple.

Since the RenaissanceAthena has become an international symbol of wisdom, the arts, and classical learning. Western artists and allegorists have often used Athena as a symbol of freedom and democracy. Athena is associated with the city of Athens. In his dialogue Cratylusthe ancient Greek philosopher Plato — BC gives some rather imaginative etymologies of Athena's name, based on the theories of the ancient Athenians and his own etymological speculations:.

That is a graver matter, and there, my friend, the modern interpreters of Homer may, I think, assist in explaining the view of the ancients. The second-century AD orator Aelius Aristides attempted to derive natural symbols from the etymological roots of Athena's names to be aetherairearthand moon. Athena was originally the Aegean goddess of the palace, who presided over household crafts and protected the king. A Mycenean fresco depicts two women extending their hands towards a central figure, who is covered by an enormous figure-eight shield; this may depict the warrior-goddess with her palladionor her palladion in an aniconic representation.

Nilsson and others have claimed that, in early times, Athena was either an owl herself or a bird goddess in general.

Athena's Calling

It is generally agreed that the cult of Athena preserves some aspects of the Proto-Indo-European transfunctional goddess.Your natural-born attributes are no accident - they can be attributed to an ancient goddess whose energy prevailed at the time of your birth.

The time of day, year and even moon cycle influences our personalities, values and choices. Women born into the new energy of spring, for example, are Venus-inspired and are natural lovers. They can't help swing those hips or flutter those eyelashes - Venus energy is impossible to resist. Every action, thought, projection of self, and treatment of others is a reflection of your goddess sign.

For example, if you react to a boyfriend's indiscretions by punishing the other woman, you are displaying Juno energies - she went to extraordinary lengths to avenge her husband's concubines.

Or if you like to lay low and stay out of trouble, your ruling goddess is most likely to be Hestia - she only wants a simple, uncomplicated, enriching and contented life. No matter whether you're pleb or celeb, your goddess sign defines how you manage your choices and destinies. Many attributes of life have been described in this book so you can see that no matter what the situation, understanding your goddess sign is one way to ensure you get through each day smiling.

Powerful and zesty Athena is the beautiful warrior queen who stood guard over the ancient city of Athens. Born leaders, Athena-inspired women know no fear, or that's the face they present to the world at least.

Fancybox v3 3

They experience trouble with self-expression, resorting to politics and force to coerce a project off the ground. They can be tough, independent, clever and resourceful women, but they should not be afraid to ask for help if they need it, and more importantly, allow people to help them. Do this: Wear a light blue stone such as Lapis Lazuli around your neck to help you find your voice. Comfort, warmth and material security are the things that keep devoted wife Juno happy.

Prepared to go to any lengths to protect their relationships, Juno-inspired women fight for the elements they want and deserve in order to preserve and enrich the home environment.

They sometimes show an inclination for revenge on anyone who threatens the stable union or home life. Instead of feeling threatened by outside influences, Juno-women should instead strengthen the relationship from within themselves, focussing on loyalty, fidelity, intimacy, inter-dependence and mutual respect. Vital and intelligent Persephone, erstwhile professional victim, was the innocent girl that was kidnapped to the underworld by Hades yes, but was it really kidnap?

Well, maybe, at first. Persephone-girls tend to be fickle, meaning "yes" when they say "no". They secretly enjoy being the scapegoat and having their life in a shambles, and won't do anything about it while they are really waiting for a rescuer to swoop in and save them. Persephone-girls should stop playing the drama queen and come up from the underworld - it is time to stop luxuriating in guilt and try honesty on for size.

Powerful and protective, Diana is the Roman goddess of nature, fertility, children, providence and harvest. Finely tuned to their environment and the feelings of others, Diana-inspired women are hunted for their natural empathy and sensitivity. Deep down though, they want escape. They hunger for more than their daily routine, but can't see their way past their busy lifestyle. Commitments and responsibilities make an escape and "time out" seem like an impossible dream.

Diana-women should take time to look after their own need for love instead of always giving it away to others. Do this: Take a stroll in a place with nature and pick up anything that catches your eye. Whether it's a stone or a feather, keep it with you to keep you grounded.

The bright and fiery Pele is the Hawaiian goddess whose spirit dwells inside the largest active volcano in Hawaii. Full of passionate energy, Pele gals love being the centre of attention and the life of the party. Their well developed ego is a mask, however, for the nagging feeling that their energy is being misdirected.

They work so hard for the attention and admiration from other people, they allow flattery to interfere with their otherwise balanced judgement. Pele-inspired women should cut their losses and work to channel their energy in a more rewarding way. Do this: Stare at a yellow stone and visualise what you really want to happen. Repeat this until it becomes habit, and habit becomes manifested reality.Lately, I haven't had a real, true connection with a god or goddess.

So I waited for them to come to me, because in my opinion, I think this is a little better. Well, my first real connection with my Goddess happened last night. I won't go into detail, but let's just say I was very stressed and my anxiety was super bad, and I got little to no sleep part of all this stress and anxiety roller-coaster included me crying; which seemed to make matters worse.

When I had eventually settled down, I tried out this free Goddess oracle reading app I downloaded. Y'know, one of those apps where you nod and say, "Oh yes, definitely a free app".

The kind that is so crappy and cheap. I didn't think it would work. Being bored and needing to occupy my mind, I decided to play with the app. I was told to close my eyes and think about my question. Feeling a bit silly because this was just some cheap app, I did just that, ignoring how ridiculous it was, because hey, I was bored.

As my eyes were closed, I thought about my question. I called upon Freya, whom I have been connecting to at least trying to; I have little to no results with Hercalling Her wise, the goddess of war, and all that good stuff, and asked something along the lines of when will I overcome my anxiety and get through this all.

I opened my eyes and flipped over the card on the screen. I freaked out. Not a bad freaked out, but a good one. And it wasn't just the fact that I got Athena, or the answer. Perhaps She had been calling for me this whole time, but I never noticed. A realization struck me that She chose me. She chose me in Her own way, even if it was through a cheap, mostly-inaccurate silly oracle app. But I should've seen the signs before. I feel rather connected to owls.

I've had dreams that involved a female owl mostly a barn owl watching me. When I meditated and pictured myself sitting in a certain place, there was that she-owl, watching me from her perch on a tree. I didn't really think about it at the time, though I felt it: that this was Athena's calling. As I sat there on my bed, still surprised at how the events turned out, at that moment I had truly felt the goddess inside of me.

And it was a wonderful feeling.
